Tablet Support (iPad etc.)

Planned

A keyboard design / layout for the iPad would be great. Actually it works on the pad, but takes to much space on the display

Hi Oliver - indeed, it's currently only designed for smartphones. Tablet support will follow soon. Keep you posted. Cheers, David

Hi Dick

At the moment WRIO Keyboard is optimized for smartphones. But we have tablet support definitely on our list and will try to implement it soon. So stay tuned. :)

Hi Ralph, you're right! We're working with all our capacity on WRIO 2.0, a Beta just came out (news go out right at this moment). I think once we're good with the new version, we can look to expand to tablets. I think getting it right on smartphones first should be our priority. Thanks, David

Description of your product on the Apple App Store says it supports iPad and iPhone. Installed successfully on iPhone; doesn’t show as an option to install on iPad under iOS 11.4.1. Is this a bug or is your advertised product description inaccurate? Since I have purchased it for a nominal cost, I am willing to wait for iPad support if you anticipate it within 3-4 months. Otherwise I may put you thru the agony of reimbursing me the nominal fee (headache for both of us...).

Hi Tareck, indeed it says this on the app store, we can't influence it because technically the app itself works on the iPad (you can open the app itself). However, the keyboard is not yet designed for tablets, so we deactivated it to work on iPads. It also shouldn't appear on the iPad App Store! On our app description it does say: "Supports iPhone and iPod touch devices running iOS 10.2 and above." See here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wrio-keyboard/id1074311276?mt=8

I'm sorry that I can't give you a positive answer for the iPad, and that we don't see a better possibility to avoid this potential confusion.
