Wäre es möglich Luxemburgisch als Sprache hinzuzufügen?
Ich wäre auch bereit mitzuhelfen und ein "Wörterbuch" zusammen zustellen.
Hi Alex, thanks for your offer! Are the words always written exactly the same? In Swiss German such a dictionary wouldn't work because depending on the dialect and even the person the words can be spelled in many different ways. Cheers, David
Thanks for your reply!
There are a few words which can be written in two different ways. But all in all Luxembourgish has it's own official spelling and can be acknowledged as a full fledged language.
The problem would be rather that a lot of Luxembourgish people don't know the correct spelling of their mother language since it isn't really learnt in school. Therefore a autocorrect function for Luxembourgish would make sense even more, yet I never saw a smartphone keyboard which provided it.
Moreover, the Luxembourgish government offers a dictionary (raw data), free to use (CC0 License).
You can find it here:
Cool, thanks a lot for the link. What is missing here (and in any standard dictionary) are the word frequencies, which are important to produce good corrections (and not correct something into a very rare word that nobody uses, but appears in a dictionary).
We'll keep this request open and look at it after releasing WRIO 2.0 - we need to get these features complete first.
Keeping you posted!
Cheers & happy holidays,
