Globe Key for Android

Under Consideration

Need I say more? We need a globe key for android to change to other keyboard apps, especially important for users who write in other writing systems (e. g. Asian and any right-to-left language). (And it should be accessible by long-press of the 123-emoji button, but mainly, we need a globe key.) On the app called "Google Pinyin Input", the keyboard app switcher is accessed through long-press of the space bar. This is simple, but genius imho.

IMHO this is not a questions, it's a MUST have feature! :)

Two comments on this one:

1.) Switching languages will at this point not be necessary in WRIO, as we're designing it to handle multiple languages at the same time. Let's discuss further once we get there in case it doesn't work perfectly.

2.) To switch keyboards we will have a button on iOS (a must feature required by Apple) but not on Android (not possible, and easily done through the drop down from the menu bar).

I therefore will close this topic for now..

Hi,

I think the switch key will be needed as soon as they will implement the no-western languages (CHINESE,AND JAPANESE, etc…) in WRIO as promised.

Sorry for the question!

I think it would be nice to be able to switch to it using a long press on the 123/Emoji button

I like the idea of toggle between keyboard on my Android phone since Chinese is not yet supported at the time being. Once I type Chinese, I have to "choose input method" switching to Google keyboard, and normally I am not aware of switching it back to WRIO. That's why I am not using WRIO frequently.

Yes, I understand. We have to look though if it's possible in Android.

Hey Markus
