Right but when I type nothing appears to predict this is what I see

Hi guys - that's an interesting one. For many users this seems to be an important feature. Our take on that is though that if you're able to write fast enough, you wouldn't need it, as it slows you down in the sense of creating an interruption in your typing flow (look at the suggestions, think if one is the right one, pick one or continue typing and check again after a few more characters).

Our key feature that's missing is auto correction. Once that's implemented in the coming weeks, we'll be able to better judge how to proceed with language prediction.

I'm sure there are a lot of opinions :-) Our proposal would be to 'park' this topic for now, until we have fully implemented auto correction and then we can re-open the debate.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers,

David

Is the Word Prediction on your plan? It is necessary for those non-native English user.

Hi Iris

Of course we have it on our list of possible improvements but we first want to release WRIO Keyboard in the App Stores. After the launch we will decide which features will come next.

Hi Adrian - merged with this post. Thx, David

Word prediction would be a fantastic addition. I adore this idea.

Thanks for your feedback. Right now autocorrection will learn the words you type - also name - so it should learn these frequently used names. But of course it would be nice to have that feature. Although this would mean the app needs access to the contacts which it hasn't at the moment.

Best :)

Would be good but then there has to be an option to turn it off ;)

Write the better every day. But if you use the word prediction with SwiftKey ne whole stage is faster. This goes without this feature never so fast

photo
1

True but the result is that for fast typers SwiftKey has become too slow, so that's why I hope if they implement it it will be optional :)

Glad to see text prediction on the roadmap - is there a timeframe on delivery?

Hi Drake

Not yet. We need to fix and fine-tune some stuff first and then we'll focus on new features. Of course we'll let you know when we have news. :)

Have a nice weekend!

Word prediction is the most importamt feature if WRIO has to become popular.

photo

It takes 1-2 weeks to learn all your words and from then on it will start correcting automatically, so once it has learned sufficiently

As Nicolas explained Auto Correction is already implemented in Android but needs some time to learn first. iOS will get it this June.

Auto Completion is not implemented yet but we definitely have it on our list. :)

Thanks for your feedback! :)

I dream of a keyboard with Wrio design and SwiftKey auto correction and prediction :)

Love SwiftKey just for those 2 attributes! Would be awesome if this indeed comes to fruition...

Yes, the hot dip my greatest wish. The design of WRIO. Also wipe for the existing features are very good. But the above-mentioned Swiftkey functions are missing but very .. And a backup function for the dictionary. I get next week the new Moto G Plus. Then I have all over again in order to start the AutoCorrect work after 2 weeks. Otherwise, even a very good keyboard. But without the Swiftkey functions I will remain slow. Greeting Jürgen

These 2 make SwiftKey great, without them it would be just a normal keyboard. I really hope Wrio will add the same features sooner. Also about back up I already suggested that, the guys from Wrio said they will definitely work on an off-line back up method , but at a later time.

Wrio is definitely well designed and if you have the time to learn it you'll definitely write faster. But unfortunately not everyone has the time to learn it, that's why we need predictions and auto correction, until then I think I'm going back to SwiftKey keyboard, it's still faster for me. But I don't regret paying for the app if that means I got to support the developers and hopefully they will improve this keyboard so much that would became a must have for everyone.

Were my thoughts exactly. Happily bought it and will be keeping a close eye on the releases (check everyday...lol)

SwiftKey is a bit laggy though because of the heavy focus on prediction, I like that WRIO is super responsive :)

Of course we'll always make sure that WRIO Keyboard doesn't get laggy when implementing new features! :)

Hi Vairam

Would be great if you could open a new topic (problem) about this. And please describe in detail what happens so we can have a look.

additionally to word prediction it is necessary to be able to delete wrongly learned words. They come up quite fast if you write in more than one language, especially because you miss the special signs all the time

There must be a autoprediction! :)

Also, it would be great to either 1) be able to choose to use a prediction; or 2) delete a prediction. My keyboard is finally using predictive text, but it keeps changing the word "aren't" to "rather" - and there is no way to prevent it from autocorrecting during the text without jumping into settings, turning the feature off, coming back. A bit of a pain!

Thanks a lot for your feedback and the bug report. Yes, there's a bug in the autocorrection. We'll fix it next week.

In the meantime: To undo the last autocorrection you can just swipe down. So you don't have to stop writing to move the cursor or delete the wrong autocorrection.

Hi Yang Yong

Thanks a lot for your feedback. At the moment we don't have a word prediction only autocorrection. Is this what you mean? Is it just now working or correcting something wrong?

I mean I dont use autocorrect. i want word prediction on a top bar

photo

auto-word prediction correction please, that would be cool.

Seriously, I also consider word prediction much more helpful than auto correction. It's an offer only and will not destroy any of your typing. Auto correction will make you sob

Hi Paul

Thanks a lot for you feedback! :)

These features already have been requested by a lot of users. So it's best to add your vote to the existing posts so we always know how much users want which features.

http://community.wrio-keyboard.com/topic/caps-lock

If a feature request doesn't exist yet feel free to post it though. Please only one feature per post so we know for which feature the users vote. We'll then try to focus on the most requested features first. :)

Thanks again for your feedback and have a nice weekend!
