Hi Simson

Not yet but it already has some votes for it in another topic. I'll merge it with it. :)

Will not keep this without dictation key.

Hi guys - there are others that would like this feature as well, so I'm merging the topic to increase the votes. We'll look at it how it can be done and let you guys know when we'll implement it. Hope you have a little bit of patience with us and we'll make it work :) Cheers, David

Hi

Thanks a lot for all the ideas! :)

To let the users vote for new features it's important to create a single topic for each idea. For most of the ones you posted there's already a topic. So you can just vote for these

1. http://community.wrio-keyboard.com/topic/voice-to-text

2. http://community.wrio-keyboard.com/topic/caps-lock

3. You always see the letter which will be typed in the textfield itself also the accents. The update automatically when switching between them. That way you don't have to look at the keyboard.

4. http://community.wrio-keyboard.com/topic/haptic-feedback For the preview no topic exists yet at the moment I think.

5. http://community.wrio-keyboard.com/topic/reorganize-the-keyboard

6. This one is new actually. Do you use mathematical formulas often? Which characters are needed? Would be great if you could open a new topic for that one.

7. When we asked 150 persons what they hate most on their current keyboard, it was the autocorrection. Often it corrects something wrong. That's why our approach is that the keyboard learns the words you use and doesn't import a dictionary with a lot of words you never write. When we finish autocorrection for iOS we will work on an export and import feature to be able to backup the dictionary. We'll see if there's a simple way without adding internet connection.

Thanks again for all these ideas! :)

Have a nice evening!

Hello, thanks for your reply.

How about in stead of autocorrection you put suggestions? The keyboard will detect what im trying to write and suggest a word for it. But by keep writing or pressing space wont automatically autocorrect the word , this prevents bad autocorretions, and if ok we can just click that word.

Mathematical formulas i used them a lot in high school, its quite handy. Now not as much but still you never know when you might need. The most important i think are x^2 x^3, the greek letters delta pi ,e^x, x^y ,square root, cube root nth root, angle , angle between a and b , arc, line segment , paralel, congruent to.perpendicular, distance. golden ration +/- , >= , not equal sign, much less than, much greater than, aproximatly equal, absolute value , limits integrals.

Again thank you for your reply.

I see a number of comments for Android phones, but don't forget about iOS. I use the Voice-2-Text option for typing all the time. I would love to try this app, but without the microphone key, I simply couldn't use it.

Hi Jason

Thanks a lot for your feedback. We have to check first if we can use this iOS-feature in our keyboard because it's possible that Apple doesn't give the possibility to other keyboards to access Voice-to-Text. With Android it should be possible.

Have a nice weekend! :)

This is essential. The keyboard hasnt helped speed me up much but i really like the keys and the gestures. Dictation is essential for times when we cant use both hands.

I have stopped using the Wrio keyboard because it doesn't have the dictation button.

I want to as well but this keyboard has spoiled my spacing and deleting habit.

I have also stopped. I did not mind overcoming the learning curve but without the voice button it's a lost cause. I have android so if it can be easily done for android please release an update with a simple shortcut for voice to text. I've purchased the app and I would like a refund otherwise.

Hi guys

We have it on our todo list and will start to implement it soon. We just have to fix some bugs first.

So stay tuned. :)

Have a nice weekend!

I am a developer myself and I have an android app available in the app store with a few thousand active users. I understand all too well, and I will wait for further updates. I appreciate the response.

Would like to emphasize the need to implement this feature. I love your keyboard and its original approach but I definitely need dictation features for me to keep using it. I just bought it today on Play but will ask for a refund if this isn't confirmed to come soon to the app.

Hi Jens

It's on our todo list and we want to implement it within the next one or two months. But I can't confirm it definitely because we don't know yet if it's doable like we want. But it should. :)

Hi Robert, unfortunately, as of today, Apple does not allow third-party keyboards to access Siri. We know this is a nuisance and hope this will be changed soon. In our upcoming updates, we will look into alternatives or workarounds to this problem. Hope to keep you onboard. Best, David

Hi Rene

Thanks for your feedback! Voice to text support is not implemented yet but is planned. I'll merge this post with another one about this topic.
