Google dictionary not working well

Solved

The thing is: I'm running 1.2 and the corrections barely happen... And I did activate the use of google's dictionary, although contrary to what Janis told me it did require me installing google keyboard, which is silly on its own, but corrections almost never ocurred before this, and just started seldomly occur after I propperly went through setting google keyboard up ( it wasn't enough having to install another keyboard to make my keyboard work as intended). And its specially frustrating when writing portuguese, cause it doesn't add the vast majority of accents like "~" or "^" and that makes typing actually slower and not very pleasant to me... I have almost 2 weeks with the 1.2 version and doesn't seem to me it's gonna work right very soon.

Hi Marcos

Since you don't habe the portoguese diacritics I think you have to enable this language in the language settings. This is important so WRIO can use the dictionaries. You can use our own dicitionary and if you want you can also enable the Google dictionary to get even more corrections. It's optional though.

After enabling portoguese you can type diacritics (accents) by long pressing the according letter. You can select multiple languages by the way to have all the diacritics you really need.

Let us know if this helps

I have the language selected and am able to manually use diacritics with my input, and I have enabled google's dictionary, but despite all that I don't get many corrections and sometimes the correction occurs and sometimes the same word doesn't get corrected... Very strange...

P.S: The emoji panel sometimes instead of opening on top of the keyboard isn't opening at all from the swipe up gesture on the numbers key.

Could this issues be performance related? I use a Samsung Galaxy J5 which isn't the fastest phone in the world but it does have 1.5Gb RAM and a somewhat decent processor for normal usage... The only game I play on this thing is Piano Tiles 2!

Hi Marcos

We noticed the same that sometimes it doesn't correct when it should for example when Google doesn't sends its suggestions in time. We'll improve that in the next update. It get's better over time by the way when WRIO learns the words you type.

About the emoji: Try to swipe very quickly (only a few millimeters are enough). Most of the times this is the problem. We'll improve the tutorial in the future to explain how to use the swipe gesture.

Regards, Janis.
