Touchpad feature

Under Consideration

Using the iphones force touch, allows to use the builtin keyboard area as touchpad. A really useful feature to navigate within text. Add that feature to WRIO

Like that idea. We will think about it. :)

Unfortunately not all smartphones support force touch so a fallback would be needed.

Alternative suggestion:

In the lower half of the keyboard works the swipe only as 'move cursor left' or 'move cursor right'. In the upper half works it as usual: 'backspace' or 'retype'

Oh I like that. You would probably need a popup to introduce the feature, otherwise people will report a bug. But it would solve so many issues.

Two finger swipe? And a setting to choose between them...

Or a very long touch, e.g. after 2 seconds the mode would switch to touchpad, or whatever you want to call it, to navigate in the text.

Two finger swipe sounds nice, but I guess in practice it will be combersome to use two fingers when you're used to type with one hand. Compare this to navigation in Apple maps vs. Google maps, where you can zoom in/out with one hand (Google). It makes a huge difference.

Thanks for your input. We'll have a look as soon as we start working on it.
