Make it irrelevant for WIRO to learn the writing habits in the first few weeks

It would be cool, if the WIRO just knows spelling/ words from the beginning. WIRO could just come with a pre installed word book or WIRO could just analyze very quickly like 30 % (or some amount which is necessary for that) of my old text messages and by that simulate the learning process very fast and I could use the App’s full service from the beginning. Maybe there is even a way to do that without disrupting WIRO’s Data policy.

"without disrupting WIRO’s Data policy" should be pretty easy, if you ask me. Just copy some text of past messages and then put that into some kind of text analyzer in the WRIO settings to build a basic simple initial user generated wordlist. Of course, the user would need to be informed to go over the text and correct the typos before feeding it to WRIO. This would be a quick way to make it learn the user's lingo much faster at the beginning.

Hi guys, the V1.2 now includes basic dictionaries and also used the Apple/Google spell checker as an additional input. With this WRIO can make useful corrections from day 1. Cheers, David

What if my phone doesn't come with google keyboard? This requirement is a tad bit silly to me... You guys couldn't possibly thougt of it all I get it, but you know the algorithm there's probably a better way...

Hey Marcos

You don't need Google Keyboard. Our autocorrection already uses a standard dictionary with the most used words per selected language and it learns the words you type. So dictionary get's better over time.

As a lot of user requested that our autocorrection should correct more at the beginning we added support for Google's autocorrection so WRIO can use their whole dictionary too. So if you enable spell checker the WRIO algorithm will also consider the suggestions of the Google autocorrection.

So you don't need it necessarily. It just improves corrections after a fresh install until it has learned the words you usually type.

Best, Janis.

I thought it was needed because I just bought WRIO today and spellcheck is on but it does not correct anything yet...

Yes, in the current 1.1 there are no standard dictionaries yet. We just implemented in in 1.2 which is in beta test right now. If you want to get beta tester let us know: app@wrio-keyboard.com

BTW: There is no version information shown anywhere... so not sure what I have if you refer to 1.1 or 1.2 or whatever.

You're right, Robert. We'll implement that in the next update. Thanks!
