Isländische Buchstaben ð und þ

Wenn isländisch als Zweitsprache drin ist würde ich ð bei Swipe-Up auf dem d erwarten und þ auf dem t.

Finde sie aber nicht, wo versteckt ihr die? :-)

I'm having a problem finding Those same characters with Icelandic selected as a primary language.

But I would expect to have both on separate keys of their own. Otherwise WRÍO becomes pretty useless.

Thanks guys - these two characters are missing by mistake. We will add the characters in the next update. Best, David

Now, where is the "Like" button for these threads when you need it :)

@Steini If IS is set as primary I'd also expect ð and þ to be on separate keys, but if secondary d and t should be sufficient I think. And there is a "like", the little heart in the corner :-)

@David Thnx, looking forward to it!

Hi Florian/Steini - we'll have to see about the separate keys (in our honeycomb layout there are not really spare keys), but for sure we will have it behind D and T as a starting point. We'll keep you posted. Best, David

@David sorry to be a bore, but if you don't keep the Þ, Ð, Æ and Ö as top level keys you're not going to get much use out of Icelanders. This would be equivalent to German speakers not having "S" front and center on their keyboard. The letters are so common.

If you need to prioritize I'd recommend you looking into replacing C, Q and Z. because these really are not a part of the Icelandic alphabet. See further on WikiPedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icelandic_orthography

Hi Steini - I see, and totally agree. I think in Swedish it's a similar case. We'll need a bit of time to think how to organize the layout when including these 4 special characters on the main board. It's possible and we'll do it. As a quick fix, however, we'll add the characters as a long press and then work on a permanent solution. Cheers, David
