How do you turn auto-correct on?

Hello.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this.

Anyway, I've been using WRIO for at least two months now. Shouldn't auto-correct turn on by now? Or is there an option? Or has it simply not been implemented in Android either?

Thanks in advance.

Same problem with my WRIO... not even the autocorrection bar appears over the keyboard...

Hi guys

Auto correction should already work but there's no auto correction bar for now. It just corrects mistypes automatically and gives you the possibility to undo by swiping down on the keyboard.

There will be a lot of auto correction improvements in the following versions. Next week there will bi a new update with bug fixes. Then standard dictionaries are coming so the keyboard can auto correct right out of the box. And we're also working on an auto correction bar like you mentioned.

So stay tuned! :)

Hi.

My problem is that my typos are not being corrected. I keep hitting j instead of the space bar, likejthis. Shouldn't the autocorrect correct this?

Hi Shashank

Unfortunately it doesn't correct typos of space keys yet. But we're already working on it.

Have a nice weekend!

@Andraman & Shashank: Are you using Android or iOS?

Hey Janis.

As mentioned in my first post, I use android.

Sorry, didn't remember. Thanks.

There is a bug in the current version. Dynamic Layout which learns where you hit the keys (and corrects it in the background) didn't work on all devices. A new version with a fix will be released tomorrow. This might solve your space problem (it did for me). It just has to relearn which takes about 1-2 days.

Let us know if it works better then.

I have the iOS version and have exactly the same problem. No autocorrection at all, even if it is enabled. It never worked.

Latest iOS on iPhone 5s, main language french (switzerland), no other language selected. The same happends with english and german as second languages.

Hi Janis,

to say even something positive...the last update improved the usability of WRIO keyboard enormously!!! Great idea to enlarge the space bar, for me it works really better!!!

Looking forward to the next updates... :-)

Hi guys, the V1.2 update brings additional improvements to auto correction. An additional update will bring a visual auto correction bar where you can see and choose from corrections. Best, David

Now it corrects sometimes a word in french (but most still not), unfortunately without displaying what it is doing.

Still far behind alternatives like SwiftKey.

Hi Patrick. On Android there will be an update 1.2 soon with autocorrection improvements. And the next update 1.3 (iOS and Android) will make corrections more visible in an additional bar and you can choose between multiple corrections.
