Hi Larry - right now WRIO solely uses your user dictionary, which grows over time with words you typed before (more than once). So if it's the first time you write "work" it can't correct it if you mistype it. In coming updates, we will enhance it by adding basic words and improve the algorithm as well. Best, David

Thanks for the reply! I've noticed it correcting spelling errors a couple of times since submitting this post.

Hi Stephen - that is correct. Right now there is no correction option. WRIO looks whether you have slightly hit a wrong key, and therefore written a word that doesn't exist, e.g. instead of "love" "lobe" or "lpve". Then it will change it to love automatically. We agree that although this works well when the dictionary is built up correctly there are two things:

- Include basic word list from the beginning, so you can see the benefits from day one

- More visual feedback on what's going on

We're working on these things to improve it.

Best,

David

Hi Stephen - yes we totally agree that it has to work well. Maybe give it a few days and observe how it's working out? We'll continuously improve it over the coming weeks and months! Best, David

  1. Why is this even an issue? I've looked at a list of issues regarding autocorrect, and it still doesn't work. One post started 8 months ago, and you kept saying it was working, but needed time to "learn." I really would like to purchase this app after trying it on my husband's android, but he's had it 3 months and autocorrect is not working. (He has it turned on.) Why is this even an issue? Every keyboard out there seems to have autocorrect, including the ones that are free. You have a great idea, but no AUTOCORRECT!!! Yes, we should all do a better job of spelling, but when you're texting on a cell phone, most of the time it's about hitting the wrong key. I can't think of any keyboard I use that takes time to "learn" which words I use. If you could get that part working, I'd gladly pay $2.99, but not until then.

Hi guys, V1.2 on iOS tremendously improves the suggestions. On Android the update is coming soon. We will then further improve it by providing a bar to select the corrections from. Cheers & thanks for sticking with us, David
